Abstract

Prus and Gee examine the differential impact of social forces on the health of elderly men and women through multiple linear regression analysis. Among others, the relationships between income and health is significant for older women, whereas the converse holds for education. Interventions to improve the health of elderly Canadians have to be gender-specific.
