Canadian Census Data

Census microfiles for 1991, 1996,  2001, and 2006 are currently accessible in the RDCs. Due to limited ressources and the development of the 2011 Census, there has been a freeze on the production of 1981 and 1986 Census data files.

The historical Census files for 1921, 1941 and 1951 are now accessible in the RDCs. The 1931 and 1911 files are expected within the next few months. See the Canadian Century Research Infrastructure for further details on this project.
